I had every intention of writing each week, but if you want to be in the moment, get a puppy. We have had Rocki in our lives for about 5 months now. She joined our 15 year old dog Arby who I am sure is wondering what the hell we were thinking as this whirlwind…

Welcome to the site. The ability to effectively communicate in the academic classroom and in society gives students and educators the power to create change in our world. I have been an educator for over three decades, empowering students and educators to share their stories beyond the confines of the four walls of the classroom. My goal is to be the catalyst and inspiration for students giving educators and writers the tools and support they need to create literacy filled classrooms embody equity and empowerment.

In addition, this site will begin to explore the life of an educator who seeks not only to empower others, but to shine a light on life outside of the classroom. This blog represents not just a view of education, but the life of an educator seeking balance and adventure.
